This 1-day program is designed to meet the industrial requirement for safety and survival training for employees assigned to off-shore work environments. The course consists of classroom and practical training covering station bills, fire systems, vessel abandonment, cold water exposure, victim recovery, survival suits, and specific USCG life-support equipment.
This program focuses on survival in an ocean environment for oil platforms, industrial vessels, and smaller support watercraft. The course consists of classroom training covering station bills, fire systems, vessel abandonment, cold water exposure, victim recovery, survival suits, and specific USCG life-support equipment.
In the afternoon pool/lake session, students will participate in PFD and Survival suit donning, survival swimming drills and practice man–overboard rescues. Students also practice boarding both a life raft and Zodiac style rescue boat as well as practice boarding of the USCG helicopter rescue basket. After course completion wallet certification cards are issued on site as well as LTR ball caps.
